WORK > The Third Mini Album

In this work, Kagan uses biography and sound art to engage ideas of Korean history, myth, contemporary psyche, and urban space. He composed a conceptual pansori (Korean opera), blending Eastern and Western thought and merging multiple narratives.

The original music is structured largely from urban noise and the lyrical text is based on interviews with residents of Seoul. Video visuals are comprised of off-the-cuff iPhone footage, as well as images of Kagan using his body as performative sculpture.
