The Redacted Bunny
The Redacted Bunny was realized over two years utilizing the structure of episodic television. With a combined media approach incorporating paint, installation, photography, and video, I sought the creation of a meta-narrative, functioning both as a fantasy diary as well as platform for universal themes of interest: displacement, sexuality, pressure to perform, mortality, and the Art world.
The Redacted Bunny centers on the relationship between a human/animal hybrid and his parent of ambiguous gender. The twelve part story begins with the conception of the Bunny Boy and continues through to his death and possible rebirth or "unbirth."
